Event & tour merchandise

These capsules and assets (unless stated otherwise) were designed by me under the art direction of William Dimotta at Merch Direct, a New York based merchandising company. As a member of a very small design team, I took on many roles within the design process. The garments were often sourced and curated by me and because we embellished the garments in-house, the process was very hands-on from start to finish.

Britney Spears:
blackout * concept *

This is my take on a modern-day merch line for Britney Spears’ 2007 Album, Blackout. This line is entirely conceptual and did not go to print. This was a passion project — I took care of the art direction, asset design, and garment curation. I wanted to match the personal + rebellious tone of the album. It’s a little gritty, a little pretty, and very Britney circa ‘07.

Deftones:
summer ‘19 capsule

Deftones is an alt-metal band from Sacramento signed to Velvet Hammer Records. They have cultivated an image based on mexi-cali culture and streetwear. Deftones provided us with their logo and asked for “tough” merch that incorperated current trends. Under the direction of William Dimotta, I created a summer line that drew inspiration from cali streetwear. I maintained a toughness in the type but juxtaposed it with soft stone-washed garments for a modern twist. I designed the assets, sourced the garments, and selected the kinds of embellishment on each piece. This line was pitched, but never made it to print.

Evergreen capsule

This part of a merchandise line for the MSG in-house gift shop. Using their brand guidelines, William Dimotta and I created a line. We borrowed the ceiling graphic from their logo to cut up and use for a couple of new graphics. The assets were created by me in Adobe Illustrator with the exclusion of the circular “The World’s Most Famous Arena” graphic (created by Will). Along with asset creation and capsule design, I sourced the garments, photographed the line for their online store, and prepped the artwork for production.

chon:
summer ‘19 capsule

Chon is a math-rock band from Oceanside, California signed to Sumerian Records. They have a fun and loose Californian vibe that we wanted to capture in this collection through the use of bright colors, fun washes, and bold textures. With the advisement of my creative director, William Dimotta, I created this capsule. Their bold logo (created by our team in 2018) was provided by Chon along with the simple outline of the sitting human. With these assets, I went on to design the rest of the graphics as well as source the garments, and design the textural elements (such as the 3 dimensional patch). I also prepped the artwork for production, including the cut and sew patterns. When the line was released, I created promotional images for their socials and website.
