Let’s Talk Prison Labor is a series of infographics designed to educate followers about the harmful practice of prison labor. I compiled the research from multiple online sources and authored the text. The type and images were designed in Illustrator, while the texture and finishing touches were added in Photoshop. The title slide was animated in After Effects.
Challenges & solutions
Prison labor is a grave subject and I wanted to convey that sensitively. I opted for an animated title slide in dramatic colors in order to garner viewer interest while expressing the gravity of the subject matter. I traded a bouncy and fun animation style for more subdued, creeping text. The following slides are static, featuring highlighted text to emphasize the data and allow for a digestible swiping experience.
